Located directly adjacent to the existing Valders Science Hall on the Luther College Campus, the new Science Center will provide a more exciting view for visitors entering the campus along the main entrance drive.
The new 66,200 square foot, three-story facility will be the home to the Chemistry & Biology departments.
The building will feature over 20 new labs and various prep spaces. On the south end of each floor there will be a large study/lounge area, with views onto the campus' central lawn, where students and faculty can study and interact. At the north end, a new more inviting entrance, serving both the new building and existing Valders, will open into a 2-story atrium space. The project team is pursuing LEED Silver certification for this project.
