Crest Ridge Corporate Center, a two-phase, 240,000-square-foot Class A office project is located at the southeast corner of I- 394 and Hopkins Crossroads (Hennepin County Road 73) in Minnetonka, MN.
Phase I, a 120,000-square-foot office facility will be leased to Syngenta Seeds, Inc. a Swiss-based agricultural firm, that plans to bring approximately 400 employees from multiple sites in Minneapolis-St. Paul as well as other Midwestern areas together to form their new campus headquarters. Employee-centered amenities will include a cafeteria, fitness facility and locker rooms. Construction of this first phase is expected to commence spring 2008 and plans are underway to pursue Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold Certification.
Collaborating on this first phase are Opus Architects & Engineers and 20 Below Studio to ensure the design supports the culture of Syngenta, and sets an example of sustainable architecture. Syngenta plans to develop a sustainable office environment with 'green' elements; such as making use of high-efficiency heating and cooling, incorporating natural day-lighting strategies for workspace areas, controlling indoor air quality, landscaping with water efficient native plants, and maximizing open green areas, reducing water use, dedicating parking for fuel-efficient vehicles, on-site storm water management for water quality, and recycling construction waste and using recycled materials in the new construction.
Opus plans to pursue LEED certification of the second phase of this development, which will be a three-story, 120,000-square-foot building. Amenities will include free covered parking with tempered executive parking, building conference room, fitness center with showers and locker facilities and food service.
Crest Ridge Corporate Center is less than a 1/2 mile from Ridgedale Regional Mall and directly across from the Metro Transit Park & Ride.
