RESPONSIBILITIES
Mr. Meyers joined Opus in 2000. As Vice President of Real Estate Development, his primary focus is on new retail development opportunities and the oversight of the retail development team.
Mr. Meyers recently completed several lifestyles and large power centers including Woodbury Lakes, a 400,000-square-foot lifestyle center; The Fountains of Arbor Lakes, an 800,000-square-foot power center; and Dardenne Crossing, a 400,000-square-foot power center. Mr. Meyers is currently working on new projects including the Shoppes on Maine in Rochester Minnesota, and providing support for multiple projects.
EXPERIENCE
From 1997-2000, Mr. Meyers was a principal with Prime Site, a commercial brokerage and site selection firm specializing in large tenant and developer representation of new shopping centers.
During 1994-1997, Mr. Meyers was Vice President of Real Estate & Development for Byerly’s, a Minneapolis based upscale grocery store. From 1987-1994, John was Vice President of Development for Simon Property Group, specializing in the development of Community Centers and regional malls in the United States and internationally. Prior to Simon Property Group, Mr. Meyer was Director of Real Estate for SuperValu where he was responsible for new store development.
