RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Vice President – Project Management with Opus, Mr. Bangasser provides executive leadership to project teams delivering integrated design-build services on a large number of Opus projects across multiple property types including office, industrial, institutional, retail, and residential.  Responsibilities include project pursuit, ongoing customer relationship management, and providing solutions meeting the cost, quality, and schedule requirements of clients. 

EXPERIENCE

Mr. Bangasser has been engaged in design-build project management with Opus since 1981.  Highlights of Dave’s experience with Opus include a variety of high-quality, functional and cost-effective projects:

UnitedHealth Group Data Park Expansion - Minnetonka, MN

350,000-square-foot, 10-story office building with adjoining seven-level, 1800 space parking ramp on six-acre site in southwest suburban Twin Cities.  Planned LEED-certified facility is located adjacent to UHG corporate headquarters.

Cargill at Excelsior Crossings - Hopkins, MN

290,000-square-foot, seven-story Building B is the first of a three-building support campus for Cargill planned to ultimately house 2,700 occupants.  The office buildings, planned for LEED gold certification and connected by ground level links, adjoin three separate parking ramps.  The 31-acre redevelopment site previously housed multiple warehouse buildings.

Select Comfort Corporate Headquarters - Plymouth, MN

160,000-square-foot, four-story corporate headquarters office located on a 15-acre site in the Bass Creek Business Park in northwest suburban Twin Cities.  Adjoining two-level (one supported) parking deck along with surface lots provide 600 parking spaces. 

Murphy Warehouse Distribution Center – Fridley, MN

406,000-square-foot refrigerated warehouse distribution facility.  The latest of four projects totaling over 1,200,000 sq. ft. which Opus has completed for Murphy Warehouse. This design-build project is located on a 26 acre “brownfield” site which was remediated and developed in close cooperation with the City of Fridley and other local and state government agencies.
