RESPONSIBILITIES
Tom Shaver is responsible for leading all real estate development, design and construction activities in the Chicago, Milwaukee, and Indianapolis offices.
EXPERIENCE
Shaver has over 25 years of commercial real estate experience in the Minnesota, Nebraska, Iowa, Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota markets. Since joining Opus in 2005, he has been responsible for a number of transactions including a 160,000-square-foot development of Select Comfort’s new corporate headquarters in Plymouth, 800,000-square-foot multi-phase build-to-suit for Cargill at Excelsior Crossings in Hopkins, and a 120,000-square-foot build-to-suit corporate headquarters for Syngenta Seeds at Crest Ridge Corporate Center in Minnetonka. Shaver was also responsible for a 320,000-square-foot build-to-suit for TPI Composites in Des Moines.
Prior to joining Opus Northwest in 2005, Shaver served as vice president and city manager for Liberty Property Trust for eight years, where he was responsible for overseeing all Minneapolis operations, including a 4-million square-foot office and industrial portfolio. Prior to joining Liberty, Shaver spent 12 years with CB Richard Ellis, Inc. as first vice president, specializing in industrial sales and leasing.
