The Opus Group is pleased to announce that Tim Murnane has been hired as President of Opus Holding, L.L.C. and Opus Holding, Inc., the respective parent companies of Opus Design Build, L.L.C., and Opus North Corporation.
In his new role, Murnane will oversee the operations of Opus North, led by President and Chief Executive Officer Tom Shaver, and Opus Design Build, led by President and Chief Executive Officer Dave Bangasser.
Murnane will report to Keith Bednarowski. Mr. Bednarowski will remain chief executive officer and chairman of the board for Opus Holding, Inc. and Opus Holding, L.L.C., until January 1, 2011, at which time Tim will assume the role of the CEO.
“We are pleased to welcome Tim back to Opus,” said Bednarowski. “Tim’s strong leadership ability, deep company knowledge and substantial industry experience will position Opus well for future success.”
Murnane worked for Opus for 22 years before leaving last June to become a Regional General Manager for Clayco, a St. Louis-based construction and development company. Bob Clark, CEO and Chairman of Clayco said “We are glad we could work with Tim in this and anticipate his success.”
The Opus Holding companies have previously announced a series of acquisitions and hires in response to recession related challenges to strengthen operations and integrate services in order to aggressively compete within the challenged commercial real estate industry.
Murnane is eager to join the Opus Group and will start July 1, 2010. “I’m excited to be back working with an extremely talented and well respected team of industry veterans I know well,” said Murnane. “The company has made several strategic changes over the past year. We are all looking forward to the Opus Group’s future.”
