Opus North Corporation today announced that Mead Johnson Nutrition Company (NYSE:MJN) signed a long-term lease at the Opus Gateway office building located within The Glen mixed-use development in Glenview, Ill. This site will be the new corporate office for Mead Johnson.

 

Opus Gateway at The Glen is a four-story Class A office building totaling 134,000 square feet and was completed in late 2008. Mead Johnson will occupy the entire fourth floor of the building and begin operations in mid-May. Opus Gateway at The Glen was selected by Mead Johnson after a review of five metropolitan areas across the country.

 

Opus Gateway at The Glen was designed by Opus Architects & Engineers. It offers efficient floor plates totaling 33,000 square feet, close proximity to the Metra Station and is strategically located for high-visibility and convenient access at the corner of Willow Road and Patriot Boulevard at the entrance of The Glen. The Glen is a 1,200-acre office, retail and residential redevelopment area along Chicago's North Shore offering office users several amenities.

 

“Opus Gateway is located equidistant from Interstate 294 to the west and Interstate 94 to the east and is only a short walk from the train station, which offers convenient commuting alternatives,” said Grady Hamilton, real estate director for Opus North. “The amenities offered by The Glen means that there is easy access to work and personal amenities in the same vicinity.”

 

Class A office space totaling 97,000 square feet remains available for lease at Opus Gateway at The Glen.

 

The Mead Johnson lease comes just six weeks after Opus North announced it leased 144,500 square feet of Class A office space to DeVry Inc., (NYSE: DV) at Highland Landmark V in west-suburban Downers Grove, Ill., and less than six months after Opus North leased more than 150,000 square feet at Opus Landmark of Lake Forest II in north-suburban Lake Forest, Ill.
