SENSIBLE SUSTAINABILITY

Our Position
Sustainable development is an important part of our mission to create great real estate, and we’re committed to including sustainable building elements in every project we undertake.

At Opus, we practice Sensible Sustainability™, – a common-sense approach that integrates our design-build capabilities, and aligns with client budgets and building goals. At every stage of the development process, we leverage design and construction practices that maximize building performance and reduce the impact of buildings on the environment. Opus’ sustainable development efforts are focused on:
1. Sustainable site planning
2. Safeguarding water
3. Energy efficiency and renewable energy
4. Conservation of materials and resources
5. Indoor environmental quality

Our Experience
To date, we’ve brought more than 3 million square feet of LEED-certified projects to life, thanks in part to the vision and skill of our 150+ LEED-accredited professionals. Sustainable development makes up almost 20 million square feet of Opus’ 35 million-square-foot pipeline, encompassing office, industrial, retail, multifamily and mixed-use projects in the United States and Canada.

Opus remains committed now and into the future to creating great real estate and being a responsible corporate citizen.
